The dreaded midterm week as come; and is passing very quickly. I'm sitting in the library fully aware that I should be writing a 5 page context paper for my Communication Criticism class but am rather distracted by the great internet connection I have and the blog world. I don't know what it is but I always seem to get a pretty easy midterm week compared to the average college student. I had one midterm last week and other then this paper I do not have much on my plate. Which is a wonderful thing because for once I do not feel like my head is spinning.

I think that God may have been giving me an easier to so that he can pull me and tug on me in ways that I don't like to be stretched. We had a few unexpected visitors in my room this week. Five girls plus three more can be a little overwhelming at times. I often found myself wanting to be short with people, annoyed with the dirtiness and slow to offer hospitality. I was brought back to this verse many times "But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness".(Psalm 86:15). I was convicted every time I thought of this verse. It made me realize that I needed to see things through my roommates eyes, and the people who were staying in my room; rather then my own. I know that all of us carry a lot of weight through this crazy story of life. I am quick to forget about other's stories and think that mine is the only one going on. My roommates are wonderful girls with huge hearts. The things they do for people blows me away. I am so thankful that these women challenge me in my walk with the Lord and often times do not even know it.

I will leave you with some great fall pictures I have been able to capture. And hopefully a reminder to be compassionate to those who may need extra patience today.
