What's there to say. I'm not a know it all when it comes to phones. I probably use mine to much for all the reasons that aren't important like calling a friend or parents. Are they useful? Yes. Do they take away from face-to-face interactions. Yes. At some points in the day I can't stand phones, but at other times I am incredibly thankful for those who were/are smart enough to think of these devices.
There is always a balance to find when using the things in public. I believe it's important to know when it's appropriate to use them and when it's just time to put them away. Plus, I always find it somewhat exciting to check my phone after some hours. It's always exciting to find an unexpected message or missed phone call.
