What is that noise?

My bed is directly beneath a window. Abby and I keep the window's open to get natural air in the room. This also means more noise coming in. However, I do not think its a bad thing because lately the leaves have been changing colors. That also means the leaves are falling. For whoever is not aware of Trinity's campus, there are 5 or 6 big trees between South and West Halls. Whenever the wind picks up the trees start to fall quicker than normal. What a beautiful sound it makes. I would never think that falling leaves could make such a noise, but they sure do and boy is it pretty. I can only compare it to the sound of rain. Something about both noises is very calming. I woke up this morning to the sound of people walking in the leaves. I couldn't hear the voices, just the feet shuffling in the piles of leaves.
I love actually having seasons. I'm learning to enjoy fall so much more than I did last year. Last year, I wanted it to be winter. This year I love that its been in the 70s and even 80s. I even experienced my first pumpkin patch on Friday. I don't think this one was the normal pumpkin patch, but it was very cute. I think Dean, Addy, and Finn would have really liked it. It made me miss all of my nephews and niece so much. I can't wait for Thanksgiving break.
